Calcium Chloride (CaCI2)
     
     
  Increses Calcium and Choride ions. Better than Calsium Sulfate for pH adjustment due to a decrease in harshness. Better for Porters and Smooth Stouts. 1 tsp. per 5 gallons in the mash water is a typical dose.  
     
  Recommended Usage:  
  1 tsp. of Calcium Chloride per gallon adjusts water hardness by 297 ppm Ca2+ and 531Cl-.
